THE JOB

Reporting to the Manager in the Sports Medicine Centre, the Senior Sports Recovery Officer(Massage) will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To provide recovery services for scholarship athletes and to provide overseas on-field support;

  • To assist in plan and implement the injury prevention and rehabilitation program;

  • To liaise and plan with coaches and other technical support professionals on elite athletes’ recovery process;

  • To assist training and supervising to the sports recovery officers;

  • To plan and conduct research projects and educational programs for elite athletes and coaches, and

  • To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by senior staff.

 THE REQUIREMENTS

  • A university degree or equivalent in sports therapy, sports medicine or a relevant discipline, preferably a master degree in sports medicine related disciplines; or 12 years elite athletes services experience for applicants without equivalent academic qualifications;

  • A minimum of 4 years’ sports relevant working experience for the degree holder, elite athletes services experience is a definite advantage;

  • Able to work in irregular hours and work overseas;

  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Ability to speak Cantonese and Putonghua is a definite advantage; and

  • Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.

高級運動恢復主任須向部門經理匯報工作，其職責如下：

  • 為獎學金運動員提供恢復服務及海外隨隊支援；

  • 協助規劃和實施獎學金運動員創傷預防和康復計劃；

  • 與教練和其他技術支援專業人員就精英運動員的恢復過程進行聯絡和規劃；

  • 協助培訓運動恢復主任並提供專業指導；

  • 計劃並開展課題研究並為教練及運動員進行知識課程培訓; 及

  • 履行由級別較高的人員所指派的其他工作任務。 

申請資格

  • 具有運動治療、運動醫學或相關專業大學學位或同等學歷，體育相關專業碩士學位優先；或具有12年或以上專業運動隊運動員恢復和隨隊服務的工作經驗亦可；

  • 學位擁有者至少四年相關工作經驗，精英運動員服務經驗者優先

  • 需能夠執行輪班制上班，並經常海外出差；

  • 良好的中英文閱讀及書寫能力，具有廣東話和普通話交流能力優先﹔

  • 認識香港保護兒童及平等機會政策者優先。
