Requirements
Hiring a Sports Therapist (Specialized in Recovery Services)
Position Overview
The Sports Therapist will provide recovery services for athletes and patients, including sports massage, assisted stretching, injury rehabilitation, and pain management. They will design tailored treatment plans to improve athletic performance and support physical recovery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recovery Services
Perform sports massages to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and accelerate recovery.
Conduct assisted stretching to enhance flexibility and range of motion.
Develop and implement personalized recovery plans based on individual needs.
2. Injury Rehabilitation
Assess, provide medical impression, and treat sports-related injuries.
Create rehabilitation programs to restore functionality and prevent re-injury.
Apply manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to support recovery.
3. Pain Management
Identify sources of pain and apply appropriate treatment techniques.
Offer pain management advice, recovery timelines, and self-care guidance.
4. Collaboration with Coaches and Clients
Collaborate with coaches and other technical support professionals to plan recovery strategies for athletes.
Educate athletes on injury prevention and recovery techniques.
5. Professional Development and Administration
Maintain accurate client records and treatment reports.
Assist in training and supervising other recovery staff.
Plan and conduct research projects and educational programs for coaches and athletes.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications
A bachelor’s degree in sports therapy, sports medicine, or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred).
Certification in sports massage, manual therapy, or related techniques.
Strong knowledge of injury rehabilitation and pain management strategies.
Standard first aid certified (or above)
Work Experience
At least 1 years of relevant experience (experience serving elite athletes is an advantage).
Proficiency in sports massage, assisted stretching, and rehabilitation training.
Required Skill
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for injury assessment and treatment.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with athletes and teams.
Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel overseas.
Language Proficiency
Excellent command of spoken and written English (proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is an advantage).
Other Requirements
Awareness of child protection and equal opportunity policies in the Hong Kong sports context is an advantage.

18k-30k/ month
